almost 5 years ago – Fri, Aug 02, 2019 at 12:12:28 AM

All backers should have received an e-mail with a tracking for their rewards by now. If you have not or received a wrong/missing item please e-mail [email protected] with your order ID. For those that have already e-mailed in about your order, you are already in Sekai Project's system and there will be a follow up with you shortly.

Thank you for your patience and in helping us make this such a successful campaign!

To mark the occasion of the fulfilment now reaching full completion we also have some additional comments from Sam Yang here at Love in Space:

I have been informed by Sekai Project that the Shining Song Starnova Kickstarter has now been successfully completed. First, we at Love in Space thank you for your continued support. Now that our second Kickstarter has concluded, this feels like a good moment to summarize the inside story of our journey so far.

Since our first Kickstarter for Sunrider, enormous transformations have occurred in the anime gaming business. During this time, Love in Space has gone from an amateur group to one of the more professional English speaking J-game development organizations. We have experienced a massive shift in the way that J-games are developed and published in these past years, which can't be described faithfully with words. During these times of great change, an enormous amount of misassumptions have spread about development, some of which even we may have believed in the past. Interestingly enough, turning a game idea into reality involves an enormous amount of complexity, which is underestimated by developers and users alike. Such complexity makes writing these messages very difficult. (Haha.)

Yes, working in the game business is complicated. However, Shining Song Starnova is a project I will continue to be proud of. Despite numerous challenges, we have successfully delivered the game and fulfilled this Kickstarter. Not only that, but we created seven very strong and memorable idols, who will forever remain in our hearts. At the onset of this project, we promised a project which will stand as a milestone for visual novels. I believe that promise has been met.

Thanks to Starnova's production, we have gained a deeper understanding of doing business in Japan, handling distributer demands, as well as the bread and butter work of producing the amount of assets for large projects. With the technical knowledge we have gained from this project, we head towards a future of creating even better games. We are currently expanding our ability to create new and more fun game play systems for our future games, which you will be able to see very soon.

We hope that you will support and enjoy the games we make from now. Until next time!

Sam Yang

President, Love in Space Inc.

So at this point we've now arrived at the next topic we want to talk about in this post, with Shining Song Starnova now completed what do we plan to do next? For those of you following us on social media or backing us on Patreon you will already have a head start by being aware of a few announcements we've made in recent months on the topic however for those not yet aware we've got two projects in particular that we are now focusing on and that will now be keeping us busy for the foreseeable future.

And now, our feature presentation sneak peak of coming attractions.

Project 7 - Shining Song Starnova: Idol Empire [Now in development]

Idol Empire follows on from the events of Shining Song Starnova as you must now flex your muscles as the producer to train and manage the returning Starnova girls in their upcoming challenges ahead, this isn't just about clashing with Quasar in the Idol Grand Prix you will also be trying to keep the office financially afloat as well as navigating the many difficulties of day to day business.

Idol Empire will feature real time business simulation where you will start from your simple beginnings and aim towards building your own bustling empire one live event at a time. The training wheels are now off and you're responsible for ensuring their success as well as owning their failures. Will you be able to save the day and bring them success or fade away as just another fad of the industry?

In addition to the returning cast of Starnova and a few familiar faces that will join your agency across the way, Idol Empire will also introduce the newest member of Shining Productions and to the Starnova universe - Mariko Furuya!

For those of you curious about if Idol Empire will have a Kickstarter project of its own, it will not and will instead release through a variety of distribution platforms upon completion.

No release date is confirmed at this time.

Project 8 - Sunrider 4: The Captain's Return [Will enter development after project 7]

Sunrider 4 is the eagerly anticipated sequel to Sunrider: Liberation Day and newest entry to the Sunrider main timeline.

Featuring a new gameplay system and developed within the GameMaker engine, just what is in store for Kayto Shields and all your favourite cast members going into the continuation of the Sunrider universe?

... "That's still classified, captain!"

For those of you curious about if Sunrider 4 will have a Kickstarter project of its own, a decision on this has not yet been made at this time. An announcement will be made at a later date if this is something we decide to do for this project.

Fulfillment Update #6
about 5 years ago – Mon, Jul 01, 2019 at 01:06:07 AM

 Hello Backers

We'd like to give an update on the current status of shipments as we are nearing the end of June. Backers who've ordered standalone goods should have received their shipment in the last few weeks. In our last update we stated our major holdup was the box printing. We have a confirmed ETA for the boxes to be completed by the week of July 1st which puts the final shipment schedule into the month of July. Backers who may be missing an add-on item, we have it noted in our system and you will receive a new shipment shortly.

There was a minor issue with the glowsticks having a misprinted graphic which has been resolved since today. Shipments for these will be going out this week.

We're looking forward to receiving the final box build and completing fulfillment by July. Thank you for your patience!

Fulfillment Update #5
about 5 years ago – Fri, May 31, 2019 at 10:38:55 PM

Hello Backers

We've started to ship this week!

However not everything is going out at once. The major holdup is the box printing at this time. We have all other goods printed and in case you missed it, we showed real life samples of the goods in previous updates. DVDs, CDs, and the artbook are expected to arrive sometime next week. For backers who got only the normal physical editions, shipping will start as soon as we get them from the printers.

The second we get the DVDs, CDs, and the artbook we hand deliver these items to the box printer to ensure that everything fits in their prototype box and to save a day in production.

If everything fits as it should - Printing will start for the Limited Edition.

If there’s issues with how the goods fit in the box - we’ll have to wait a little longer as the box gets redesigned.

Again, if everything goes according to plan we will start shipping the collectors edition in June.

We’re incredibly sorry for all the extensive delays on this campaign. We never intended for it to take this long and we’re grateful for your support and understanding. We hope to bring you more good news in our next update.

Fulfillment Update #4
about 5 years ago – Thu, Apr 11, 2019 at 12:00:24 AM

Hello Backers!

As promised we have photos of all the goods currently made and arrived to the office.

We're waiting on the fan club bag to be shipped to us.  It should arrive in the next two weeks.

No tapestry preview but it'll also arrive in roughly 2 weeks.

We're also prototyping a cross-platform installer for the game. Once the installer is ready we can print the DVDs, the box, and the art book.

We're still on time to complete fulfillment by end of May.
